Executive Director McCune in Haiti June 9 - 16th, 2010 for "Rebuilding a New  Haiti" conference to promote Prizm programs for immediate shelter to "Beat the Hurricanes" and provide long term sustainable economic development for the people of Haiti.

Prizm Foundation Project Haiti - 5 Point Plan

Incremental Relief

Scalable, Repeatable, Self-Sustainable

First a small community demonstration pilot, then the town, then the province, then the country

Water

·         This is a critical life saving need.

-          There is no safe drinking water in most of Haiti.

·         Prizm Foundation Project Haiti has developed an easy, low tech sustainable method for providing safe drinking water.

·         Cost of $1.50 - $2.00 per person per year

·         Model is repeatable and scalable to the entire Haitian populace.

Food

·         Project Haiti is now and will continue to deliver highly nutritive foods regularly to areas yet to receive aid in any meaningful amount.

·         After survival relief is accomplished, local food production programs will ensue.

-          If we sent seeds now, they would likely be eaten for survival.

Shelter

·         Project Haiti will provide ongoing shipments of the VertexTM Building Systems.

-          Provides immediate Category 5 temporary and permanent shelter.

Evacuation Solutions

·         At present there are no mass evacuation facilities.

·         Prizm will provide critically needed evacuation building design solutions required for mass sheltering in the event of a hurricane.

·         Assist the large organizations managing the camps with implementation.

Sustainability

·         All of the above efforts will be carried out with sustainability as part of each step.

-          Water programs will include job creation and scalability.

-          Food programs will include future food security and local production.

-          Shelter will be accomplished with local paid labor with minimal tools required.

o   Manufacturing of the building systems in Haiti will occur after a suitable partner(s) have been identified.

-          Evacuation solutions will be provided that are Category 5 hurricane resistant

o   Earthquake resistant

o   Inexpensive

o   Fast to erect
